This is one of my favourite weekend breakfasts and is great for brunch too. The posh French sandwich fried in butter and loaded with ham and cheese, a really diet nightmare. This healthier version makes use of your Healthy Extras A and B to give you syn free deliciousness.
Cooking Time - 10 Minutes
Syn Value on Extra Easy - Free plus 1 x HEA and 1 x HEB
Ingredients
1 x Egg
2 x Slices Wholemeal Bread from Medium Sliced 400g Loaf HEB
1 x Slice Emmental Cheese ( I used Sainsburys pre-packet Emmental sliced cheese_ HEA
1-2 x Slices Cooked Lean Ham with all visible fat removed
Black Pepper
Frylight
1. Make a sandwich with the ham and cheese.
2. Crack the egg into a shallow bowl season with the black pepper and bet until fully mixed.
3. Dip the sandwich in the egg making sure it is full coated.
4. Spray and frying pan with Frylight and place on a medium heat.
5. Cook the sandwich on both sides until golden brown.
6. Serve with grilled tomatoes and mushrooms sautéed in Frylight. I like some brown sauce with mine for 1 syn.
